Obituary of Aurelia Jalanta Lysher

Aurelia Jalanta Lysher, 94, of Duluth, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, with her family by her side. Aurelia was born May 22, 1922, to Joseph and Catherine Kollodge in Holdingford, Minn. She and her husband, Joe, built their home in Duluth where they raised their three children. Aurelia was a devout Catholic and member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Aurelia enjoyed playing bingo and cards, baking, gardening and spending time with family. Her door was always open to friends and family for visits, and she enjoyed the company. Aurelia loved birds and animals and fed all that came to her home. She was a very generous woman with a warm heart and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; son Dale; daughter Lori DeLuca; and 10 siblings. Aurelia is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dennis) Gould; son-in-law Tim DeLuca; three brothers; one sister; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday, Dec. 9, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road.
