Obituary of Robert J. Raiho
Robert J. "Bob" Raiho, 80, lifelong resident of Duluth passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 while in St. Luke's Hospital.
He was born May 15, 1936 in Duluth to John and Anna Raiho.
On March 10, 1957 Bob married Donna Mae MacDonald.
Bob was employed by Goldfines as a warehouse manager for several years and later became the owner-operator of Raiho Trucking. He retired at age 72.
Bob enjoyed gardening and working with his prized possession, his "back hoe."
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathleen Marie; his parents; and brothers, Arnold and Elmer.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Donna; son, James of Cloquet; daughters, Julie Sedin and Janine Johnson both of Proctor; three grandchildren, Jeffery Gates, Heather (Scott) Ludwig and Torie Koski; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Kyra; a brother, Ray (Pam) Raiho of Grand Marais; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Basem Gaueli, Dr. Mary Boylin, St. Luke's Staff and Infusion Dept., and Dr. Knuths.
