Obituary of LuJean Phyllis Adams
LuJean Phyllis Adams, 74, of Cloquet, Minn. passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones.
LuJean was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. The amount of strength and courage she displayed on a daily basis for the past 20-plus years was astounding. Despite her own illness, LuJean managed to carry a light about her, and always illuminated any room she walked into.
LuJean's husband Blair Adams held her hand through sickness and health for 54 years. It is without question that these two were soul mates. The love pouring from each of them on a daily basis could be noticed by all. Rarely were they without each other. It is through Blair that we all continue to see and feel her love shining down on us.
LuJean and Blair had six children, Lance (Sherry), Wade (Kelly), Jason (Cari), Dustin (Wendy), Brandon (Beth) and Stephanie (Cody). LuJean gave her children the greatest gifts a mother could give: Love (always unwavering), patience (never faltering), and understanding (never questioning).
LuJean was never more proud than when she was talking about or showing off pictures of her 15 grandchildren, Max, Sydne, Cody, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Zach (Kassandra), Mariah, Kristofer, Mercedes, Cayman, Chloe, Courtney, Cooper, Brixton and Maddox. She continues to live on in all of us through the love and lessons she has taught us.
She was preceded in death by her parents Merlyn and Mable; brother Jerry; brother-in-law Jean-Paul; and her great-niece Jeri.
LuJean is survived by her husband Blair Adams. LuJean also walked through this life with her brother Larry Sorby by her side, supporting each other through life's ups and downs.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 612 12th St., Cloquet.
